Who Sends Messages
SMS messages are sent by ShieldDesk LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company. ShieldDesk provides managed AI dispatch services for trade companies. When you provide your phone number to ShieldDesk and consent to SMS communications, you may receive messages from ShieldDesk or on behalf of your contracted trade service provider.
Types of Messages
ShieldDesk sends the following types of SMS messages:
Dispatch Confirmations
Sent to technicians when a job is dispatched. Includes job address, issue description, and customer contact. Sent to your registered on-call technicians only.
Appointment Reminders
Sent to customers (when configured by the trade company) to confirm upcoming service appointments.
Emergency Alerts
Sent to designated contacts when an emergency dispatch requires immediate attention or when normal escalation channels have not responded.
Account Notifications
Sent to account holders about service status, billing, or configuration changes.
Service Confirmations
Confirmation that a service request has been received, routed, and processed.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on dispatch activity. Technicians may receive multiple messages per shift during active dispatch periods. Customers will receive messages only in connection with their service requests. You will not receive marketing messages without separate explicit consent.
Rates & Charges
ShieldDesk does not charge for SMS messages. However, standard message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier. ShieldDesk is not responsible for carrier charges. Check with your mobile carrier if you are unsure about your plan.
How to Opt Out
Reply STOP to any ShieldDesk SMS message to opt out immediately.
When you reply STOP, you will receive one final confirmation message and will be removed from all ShieldDesk SMS communications. If you are a technician on an active dispatch roster, your employer will be notified so they can update their contact configuration.

ShieldDesk SMS messages are supported by all major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and regional carriers. Carrier availability for short code messaging may vary. For carrier-specific questions, contact your mobile carrier directly.
